Zoo Day

Last Sunday Owen and I took a mom and son trip to the zoo. It was a little chilly and sprinkling which was actually okay because not many people were there. His favorite part of the day was Patrick the HUGE gorilla. Thanks for a fun zoo trip buddy!

A couple of weekends ago Owen was invited to his buddy Camp's birthday at the park. It was tons of fun, Owen's favorite part was the donuts!

The EGG does not fall far from the tree

I think Owen really loved the Easter Holiday, he still asks me if we can hunt for more eggs. The night before Owen's first Easter egg hunt of the holiday, Chris looked at me and said, I wonder if Owen will be like his parents, hyper-competitive, and try and get as many eggs as he can?? He was exactly right! I guess the EGG does not fall far from the tree.

5 Year Anniversary Trip...3 Months Late

We wanted to take a golf trip for our 5 year anniversary celebration trip so instead of trying to play golf in January weather we delayed our trip till March. Last weekend Chris and I took a long weekend to Barton Creek, outside of Austin. We stayed at the Barton Creek Resort and played the Fazio Foothills and Crenshaw Cliffside courses.

The weather was amazing and we had a wonderful time relaxing, playing golf, sleeping and eating A LOT.

Our past few vacations we have made it a point to seek out restaurants that have been featured on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-in and Dives. We hit two spots this trip, The Salt Lick and Maria's Taco X-press. Both were so YUMMY!
