Owen's 4th birthday party was filled with lots of running, sliding and playing! We had it at the Lake Highlands North Rec Center. It was lots of fun!

Frat Boy in Training

Owen will do pretty much anything when egged on my his dad, uncle and grandfather. Well on Thanksgiving this year he decided to skinny dip in the UNHEATED pool. He is a Frat Boy in Training!

4 Years Old...Oh My!

Oh My, I have a 4 year old. we love him with all our heart and are extremely excited to watch him grow out of toddler stage and in to a little boy. I know I am biased but Owen is smart, funny, athletic, spunky, cuddly, out-going, independent and as he says "pretty tricky."  He is also an amazing big brother and is so sweet to Tucker. He recently told me he is ready for Tucker to get bigger so they can be "Brothers on a mission." Melt my heart.

Owen, thanks for being the hardest and the best thing I have ever done in my life.  The Lord has blessed daddy and I with you and we thank him everyday for you. My prayer for you is that you know how much you are loved by Jesus and by daddy and me.

The Ranch

Taylor asked Devi to marry her at "the ranch" on 11-11-11. All the family was there to celebrate the exciting event. Owen had such a great time at "the ranch." My favorite moment of the weekend was when Owen looked at Chris and said, "Dad, I want to stay here forever!"

Labor Day

This year we spent the labor day enjoying the beautiful weather at Taylor's family's ranch. Swimming, fishing, feeding horses and lots of family fun.

Irene!!!

Chris and I had been looking forward to going to New York for a friends wedding for months. We went but our trip was cut short because of Hurricane Irene!

We had a whirlwind of a trip and we were there for only 48 hours. Here is how it went...Keep in mind the wedding was originally on Saturday and we we supposed to stay until Sunday

- Thursday
- 4 am - wake up for flight to NYC
- 12 pm - yummy lunch with stark and Gemma
- 7 pm - drinks on stark and Gemma's roof top patio

-9pm - project runway and pizza at stark and Gemma's

Friday
- 8 am - breakfast at our cousins - Greg, Kim, Vanessa and Amelia



- 10am - drive to shelter island
- 1pm - take car ferry to shelter island
- 2pm - lunch at Sunset Beach Hotel



- 5:30 pm - Matt and Meghan's wedding at the ram's head inn








- 7:30 pm - wedding reception, sit down dinner, at our table Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. They are way cool! This is my attempt to sneak a picture of him, dang it...he had his hand over his face.



- 11 pm - check out of the hotel, that we did not sleep in,
- 11:15 pm - on the car ferry back to long island
- 3 am - check in to the Marriott in Teterboro, NJ

Saturday
- 8 am - wake up
- 8:45 am - arrive at Teterboro Private Airport
-9 am - board a NetJets private plane, I could get used to flying private ;)



- 11am - land in Chicago
- 1:30 pm - board American Airlines flight to Dallas
- 4:30 pm - arrive home, totally exhausted!

Chris quote for the weekend "never have we spent more and gotten less"

But we did get to have dinner with Jess and JT and fly on a private plane!
