Where I Found Him

I was being a good homemaker, putting away Owen's laundry. He was being too quite in the bathroom so I peeked around to corner to see what trouble he was into and this is where I found him...

Project Update

Since it finally got above 50 degrees I was able to finish painting and lacquering the huge frame.

Next steps are to paint a large apple green rectangle on the wall in the stairwell, install the "french cleat" on the frame and wall and hang the frame. So excited! I also ordered a vinyl wall decal of a TREE on Etsy, but it is shipping from Istanbul, so I am a little worried it is going to take forever to get here! The tree is going in the middle of the green framed rectangle.

S-N-O-W in D-Town

Does it snow in Dallas? DUH!
We had a ball playing in the snow during our long "snow day" weekend.

I think Avery enjoyed it more than anybody.

Snowmen, sledding, snow angels and snow balls a plenty...I am ready for summer.

PROJECT

My mom and I always joke that my dad always needs a "project." Well, I can admit that the apple does not fall far from the tree. I am a "project" person too, I usually have a couple going on at a time and mostly they revolve around our house. Currently I am working on some art (not sure if you can really call it that) for the wall in our stairwell.

My boss, Mindy, found this HUGE frame (6 feet X 7 feet) at an estate sale and did not have a place for it in her house, so I happily took it off her hands. Stage one of this project, I thought, was spray it with primer, but I found that it was super dirty. So I got to scrubbing and now I have to wait for it to get above 50 degrees so I can spay the primer, who knew spray paint does not work in 30 degree weather???

More PROJECT posts to come :)
