NYC

Chris and I were lucky enough to get to take a three day, two night, quick trip to NYC. We ate and drank a lot and spent some great time with friends we don't get to see enough. Thursday we arrived at our NYC apartment for the weekend. Chris' cousins, Kim and Gregg, who are super awesome, let us stay at the apartment in Chelsea! They are in Maine for the month so we got the place all to ourselves...we felt like true New Yorkers, kind of.

The apartment building, The Porter House, is the black one way in the background with the cool horizontal windows. Kim and Gregg not only live in the Porter House, their architectural firm, sHop, designed it!

Really cool 1960s light fixture rescued from Chris' Grandma Betty's and refurbished by Kim and Gregg

Amazing view from rooftop patio!

Thursday night we went to dinner friends Nick and Patti. We ate wonderful burgers at the worlds smallest table for 4 at the Spotted Pig...yummy!

Friday, after brunch with Stark, Chris' oldest and best friend, and Gemma, his soon-to-be-wife, we ventured around Chelsea, the West Village and the East Village. We love Stark and now love Gemma, good work Stark, she is awesome!!! Gemma is from London, which means she has a really cool accent and on top of that she was a journalist for English Premier League soccer. That gets her lots of points in my book! Looking forward to your London wedding!

Friday night we went to see Stark in American Idiot, the main reason we made the trip to NYC. He plays, Tunny, one of the leads. The show was amazing. 90 minutes packed with high-energy singing and dancing. We are so proud Stark!

We heart NYC...hope we can visit again soon!
