CARMEL - THE HIKE

We started the 4th of July with a hike at Point Lobos State Reserve. It was beyond beautiful and super fun to witness Owen's first nature hike. He loved it! He even POOPED in the woods!!! I guess when you got to go, you got to go!

CARMEL

We are all still on California time, wishing we were still there enjoying the 60 degree weather, the beach, the hikes, the walks and the family.

This summer was our third summer in Carmel with Chris' parents. Each summer gets better and better and we ask ourselves when we return home, why do we not live in Carmel full-time??? It is a magical place.

Betsy, Steve, Devon, Taylor (owen's favorite), Uncle Paul (owen's second favorite), Chris, Owen and I spent 5 great days playing hard, eating and laughing TONS. Thank you Betsy and Steve for treating us to such a wonderful time!

We went to the beach everyday, day one was a little chilly. Notice Owen's wet t-shirt and lack of shorts. He fell down while playing in the water and then later proceeded to do a face plant in a small wave, he was cold but toughed it out with his hat, fleece and big-boy undies

Owen was a champ with potty training on the trip...NO accidents!

Owen discovered a new reading nook. He stayed in his new place for at least 20 minutes playing games on my i-phone and reading his books.

Gladewater Round-up Rodeo

Last weekend we headed to Gladewater Texas for the Gladewater Round-up Rodeo and fun on the lake with friends. Jerry, Kathy, Kinsey and Scott were so nice to host us and the Thomas Family at their beautiful lake house.

We had a wonderful time playing in and on the boat, water, tube, baby pool, "jeep" and relaxing on the wonderful porch. Owen's favorite was the "jeep." He ate snacks in HIS jeep and just sat in HIS jeep with his seat belt on to be "safe." Owen does not sit for much, so to see him just hanging out in HIS jeep was pretty funny. Thank you Jerry for letting a two year old play in your "jeep."

We had such a wonderful time and hope we can go back again soon!

SHINER

Owen got his first black eye at school the other day. Lucky it was not in a schoolyard brawl, he fell while running in the gym. I am sure this will not be his last shiner.

P-O-O-L

The last two weekends we have spent every free minute in the pool. Owen loves swimming...he is turning into a little fish! He especially loves swimming with his daddy!

Fearless

For better or for worse 2 & 1/2 year old Owen is not afraid of much. Please don't call CPS on my husband...I promise, Owen was loving it!
